The iroko tree grows in equatorial Africa, is up to 50 meters high and the trunk has a diameter of 2 meters. Iroko wood has a remarkable hardness, however it is malleable and easy to work; it shrinks very little during maturation, moreover it is stable in thermal excursions; on the other hand, painting is not very suitable, but it lends itself very well to impregnation.
This wood has excellent resistance to humidity and saltiness; for this quality the iroko parquet it is recommended for use in kitchens, bathrooms, seaside rooms or lakes.
