Wood Flooring dimensions

Wood Flooring dimensions: dimension and thickness in planks and in other formats

Parquet dimensions and thickness they are important, because they define the main parquet formats (strip, strip, plank, maxi-plank, industrial, 2-3-layer plywood, raised).
Here they are shown in detail, with their respective dimensions (thickness, width, length):

Parquet oak strip

to) Listel (also called lamparquet or tablet): a constant profile wooden element with slightly inclined sides that is laid by gluing.

– thickness from 9 to 11 mm
– width from 40 to 65 mm
– length from 190 to 350 mm
– humidity 9% ± 2

b) Listoncino : it is a strip of larger dimensions with elements with a constant profile or built in a “tongue-and-groove” pattern and which is laid by gluing.

– thickness from 9 to 14 mm
– width from 60 to 75 mm
– length from 350 to 600 mm
– humidity 9% ± 2

Solid plank flooringc) Plank : wooden elements with profile constructed with a “tongue-and-groove” joint and laid by gluing or nailing.

– thickness 14-15-22 mm
– width from 70 to 110 mm
– length from 350 to 1300 mm approx
– humidity 9% ± 2

Maxiplancia Parquet Formatd) Maxiplancia : it is a larger plank with profile elements built with a “tongue-and-groove” joint on all four sides and laid by gluing or nailing.

– thickness 14-15-22 mm
– width from 120 to 200 mm approximately
– length from 1000 to 2500 mm approx
– humidity 9% ± 2

NOTE: the high stability, resistance to foot traffic and a singular aesthetic effect, make this parquet an interesting solution for environments homes, shopping malls, exhibition spaces, gyms, offices and other large ones surfaces.

is) Industrial : wooden element composed of slats positioned at the “head” (vertically) assembled and compacted in parallelepiped-shaped blocks and laid by gluing.

– thickness about 14-20-23 mm (occasionally 10 mm)
– block width 160-220-240-280 mm approx
– lamella width approx.10-14-20 mm
– block length from 300 to 400 mm approx
– humidity 9% ± 2

Two-layer plank parquetf) Two-layer multilayer : element consisting of an upper part of solid wood (noble layer) with a thickness of not less than 2.5 mm glued with polyurethane glues on a support formed by a wooden panel (plywood or fir), with “male-female” joint on all four sides and laid by gluing.

– thickness 10-14 mm
– width from about 60 to 140 mm
– length from 380 to 1800 mm approx
– humidity (noble wood) 7% ± 2

Three-layer parquet sectiong) Three-layer multilayer : element consisting of an upper layer of solid wood with a thickness of not less than 2.5 mm, a lower part of derullato, veneer or solid wood and an intermediate layer (about 9 mm thick) of transverse elements of soft essence (fir). The boards are “tongue-and-groove” on all four sides and laid by gluing or “floating” on the mat. The visible face can be made up of a single slat (single-plank) or two slats (“two-strip” dashboard) or three-slats (“three-strips” dashboard).

– thickness about 14/15 mm
– width from 140 to 220 mm approx
– length from 500 to 2900 mm l approx
– humidity (noble wood) 7% ± 2

h) Raised: it consists of a modular metal support structure, a cavity where all types of systems are housed and a walking surface made up of 30/35 mm thick concrete conglomerate panels and 600 × 600 mm section, which they form the support on which a 4/5 mm thick layer of noble wood is glued.

IMPORTANT

The raw material “wood” is marketed in ever-varying sizes and therefore must be exploited to the maximum. Hence the need to consider, in the delivery phase of the processed product, a percentage from about 10 to 20 of different dimensions (usually shorter in length) than those considered “basic”. This detail is to be considered valid even if not contractually established.
